He Did It!

So, I don't brag much -- okay, maybe I do, but I can't help it! Sawyer rolled over from his back to his tummy on Tuesday. He rolled from belly to back at about 2.5 months, but that is the easy one I think...Anyway, I can't believe he did it so soon. I checked out Wes' baby book, and he achieved this at 5.5 months...so, Sawyer is a whole 6 weeks ahead....(but I am not comparing) -- Sawyer is definitely a mover and a shaker! I am so proud of him...just had to let everyone know! We go to the dr. tomorrow for Wes' 2 year and Sawyer's 4 month checkups....prob some shots :( but we will make it thru. If it rains, Elliot can't work, and he can go suffer with me! Just love the dr's. office. We will just try to make it out without picking up any illnesses!

ps. Since I live in a world of boys, I figured I would add a little blue to the blog! Enjoy! :)

Fun in the dirt!

We took advantage of the nice weather and played outside as much as we could. We ended up at Elliot's aunt's house and we played while the boys worked on the building. Gramma Kate loves to play in the dirt too, so she and Wes had a grand time. I think it is these kind of moments that make the best memories!

Fun in the dirt with cars and trucks.

I love dirty chubby fingers!

Snow at the Little Red House

Well, we did get a little snow and it was pretty to look at. I love out house in the snow! And when we make our way to our new home in November (wherever that may be), I am sure going to miss the beautiful mountain views from our front porch!

Toe Jam

On a rather hilarious note, we were with the Harrison girls the other day and I witnessed something that I will never forget. Sawyer was in his carrier on the floor, and Anslie (2 years old) was bend down playing with his toes...well, I looked a little closer and she had pulled his socks off and was pulling his toes apart picking toe jam (sock lent) from between his toes!!! Oh my goodness, have you ever? I laughed so hard. Her mom, Melissa says she is obsessed picking toe jam. Oh well, I guess we all have our quirks....that one is just too funny!

Happy Birthday Wesley!

What a fun day we had celebrating Wes' birthday. Family and friends came to enjoy the day (though it was rainy and cold) and Wes' was so exited. "Noons, mommy, Noons" (translation: balloons) He loved what he called his "Choo Choo party"...There are not many boys in our circle of friends here in Brevard, so we are glad that a few boy cousins came to balance things out a bit. All of Wes' girls were there....Skylar, Anslie, Kyndall and Ethny. They had a blast eating cupcakes, or "pupcakes" as Kyndall calls them. They ran and ran and ran around enjoying every minute. We are so grateful for all the great gifts he received. (especially the diapers from Janie!) He will be coloring, building, and playing with cars for a long time to come. My dad made him a wheelbarrow. It was so cute, and I just love homemade gifts. Thanks dad! After the party, some of my family came back to the house for pizza and wings and the Cars movie (Wes got to pick the movie, since it was his big day). We enjoyed the time together. It was a great day, however seeing as we went to bed (and I mean lights out) at 8:30, it was a tiring day for Wes' mommy and daddy! Happy Birthday Wesley!

Wes' Thomas cake. Well, did you really thing he would want anything else! Choo Choo is the BIG deal these days....Not sure he will ever get over Choo Choo!

Wes in the wheelbarrow my dad made for him. He couldn't figure out how to push it, so he just got in it!

Me and my sweet boy! I can't believe he is 2!

Have we seen this trio before? Ahh the trouble they could get into if they put their heads together!

The things we do...

Today was picture day. I decided when Wes was born that I wanted to have his picture made every three months for the first year. For the most part, it went off without a hitch. He was a great "grinner" and I was glad for that! Well, I thought to myself, any good parent will do the same for the second child. So, we went today to get Wes' 2yr pics made and Sawyers' 3 month pics made. OH MY GOODNESS! What a disaster!!!! Wes will be 2 on March 1st, but he is practicing so hard at the "terrible twos"!!! Sawyer did okay. Elliot went with me, love his heart! He is ready for the "snip snip" if you know what I mean! Wesley did not want to smile, said "no" like a gazillion times, kicked his feet, wouldn't listen to anyone, and well, just made it a dandy of a day. We also had Ethny with us b/c her parents went away for the weekend. She did so great. Especially after Elliot went and got sour worms and whoppers for her and Wes. After the grueling session was over, Elliot took Wes and Ethny to MacDonalds, while I stayed back to order pics and feed Sawyer. To top it all off....I thought I had a coupon for a great deal....well, it was a RIP OFF! We won't go into that story....we will just be glad it is over and try not to have bad thoughts everytime we look at the pictures! Oh the joys!
