Fun Friday nights!

Well, Wes and Ethny had a grand ol' time in the bath Friday night! Wes has stayed with Ethny since he was 6 weeks old, so they are the best of friends! She stays with us on Friday evenings so her parents can go to their Bible study group. There is never a dull moment in the world of "Essy and Neenee" They were my punk rocker bathers! I think I enjoyed it more than they did! Sawyer tries to hang in there with all the fun! Sometimes he gets a little squished, but he likes it....i think! Friday nights are a bit different then they used to be...but there is nothing like a house full of fun little ones! I am so enjoying this time of my life!

My heart is officially melted!

So we had a photo opp this afternoon while lounging around the house. My little guy is getting such a personality! And he is quite a cutie if I do say so myself. Enjoy!

Best Buddy's Already!

So, we got the bright idea the other evening of letting Sawyer hang out in Wes' bed for a few minutes before Wes went to bed. Well, Wes LOVED it! He did not want his "Saw-baby" to get out of his bed. As the two of them laid there, Wes looked up at us and said, "Bye Bye mommy! Bye Bye daddy!" (as if we would let Sawyer go nite nite with him!) Well, maybe in a year or so sweet Wes! I can see we are going to have many fun times ahead! Wes even introduced Sawyer to his monkey and the rest of his friends.

Ella turns 2!

We took a quick trip to Denver this weekend for my neice, Ella's birthday party! I can't believe she is two....that means in a very short 6 weeks, my Wesley will be 2 as well! Time is going by too fast! While were were there, Ella and Reese gave preformed a great duet for us with their guitars. Wes and Ella also dined at Ella's new furniture in her room. Such fun!

My Boys!

Being a mom is definitely the most wonderful gift I have ever recieved! I am so grateful for the gift of two healthy, beautiful boys! They fill our lives with such joy! As I have been reflecting over the past few days and weeks, there have been so many moments that have warmed my heart and reminded me of how blessed we are. The Lord is the giver of all that is good, and he certainly went beyond when her was sending blessings our way. We do not take for granted one moment the responsibility we have to raise our boys the best we can, and teach them of the love of Christ and pray for the day when they will accept Him as Savior. What a glorious day that will be. A great challenge has been placed before us as parents and we pray, and ask you to pray along with us, that we will rise to the challenge, seek the Lord's wisdom, and live a life as individuals and parents that is pleasing to him. We look forward to each and every adventure that comes our way, and hope not to miss any opportunity to laugh, love and learn on our journey! Enjoy the pictures below of some of my most recent "favorite moments". My cup overflows!

Happy New Year!

Well, the end of 2008 came and went very qucikly for us. With a Baby Sawyer's arrival, Thanksgiving, hunting season, and Christmas, well you could say we packed it in! All was quite exhausting, but very rewarding! Time with family and friends was great, and we got to show off our new little man. Sawyer Carlton Aiken arrived on November 12th, at 9:51am witghing in at 9lb 1oz and 20 inches long. He looks somewhat like his big brother, but definitely has his own look as well. He loves to be cuddled, hates to be left alone, and would like nothing better than to hang out in anyones arms who will take him. I think he is going to be our social butterfly! Wes loves his "Saw-Baby" as he calls him. Two boys...what fun! I am back to work and looking forward to getting into our "new normal". I am only in office 3 days a week, so that is nice. I will cherish the two days with my little guys! The amazing Robin Stoltzfus will be loving on them in her home on the three days I am at work. She is such a blessing! We are so excited about the blessings of 2008 and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for 2009!

ps. I FINALLY got DSL at home, so I will be updating our blog, and the boy's website (www.babyhomepages.net/wesleyaiken) much more often!

Well, this will probably be the last time you will hear from me as a mom of 1! Baby Aiken #2 is due to arrive next Wednesday, November 12th....if not sooner! All is well in the world of the Aikens...just anxiously waiting to meet our new little boy or girl! Wesley is great. He dressed as his hero, Thomas the Train for the trunk of treat at church last week. He was the cutest one there...if I can say that! I have been a nesting fool the past few days, just feeling an urgency to get anything and everything cleaned, scrubbed, thrown away or put away to prepare for our new arrival. Elliot is probably feeling a bit over worked...but he is a great helper! We can't wait to introduce our new little one to you, so keep checking for the good news! Until then, enjoy the pics!
